Last reviewed: 5 October 2026
A short log of what changed in the public editor and which guides were updated to match. Use it after a release, or when a tutorial no longer matches the menus you see.
Kav2D is a free browser editor for laser-cutting preparation. When a tool changes, the matching guide is updated in the same release cycle. Older guides stay published.

- Box Generator — real build — photos of a plywood finger-joint box cut from generated panels (closed and open lid) added to the Box Generator guide and the homepage feature card.

- Image to Laser — Floyd–Steinberg dithering in the browser, millimetre size and DPI, insert onto the sheet, crop with Intersect. Guide: Image to Laser.
- DXF and rasters — DXF export omits Image to Laser pictures and warns in the Export dialog. Use SVG or PNG for engraving. Details in the Image to Laser guide and SVG and DXF Import/Export.
- Site content — homepage FAQ, this updates log, and expanded About / Guides copy so the public pages describe the real product, not only a feature list.
